- Health and Safety Legislation – roles and responsibilities
- Work at Height – Safe Use of Ladders
- Manual Handling (fully certified)
- Use of Lawnmowers & Strimmers
- Selection & Use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Fire – Selection & Use of Fire Extinguishers
- Slips and Trips
- Safe Use of Chemicals including new labeling arrangements
Aims:
- To reduce accidents, injuries, lost working time and claims
- To provide school caretakers with an overview of health and safety legislation and best practice in a number of key relevant areas
- To provide certified manual handling training as required by law
- To provide certified health and safety training as required by law
Hot lunch will be provided.
