Digital Skills Series - Area 4 - Safety - Level 2

Overview

Protection of personal information and data, digital identity protections, digital content protection, security measures and responsible and safe use of technology.

• Protecting the environment

By the end of this session participants will:

• Be able to check, test & update devices to identify vulnerabilities or operating failures & seek appropriate solutions.
• Have strategies for action on device safety & protection within the educational community.
• Know how to improve privacy protection by changing default privacy settings.
• Have extensive knowledge about privacy issues & know how to collect & use their data.
• Develop educational projects on digital protection & the respect for the privacy of  others.
• Be aware of the proper use of technologies to avoid health problems.
• Know how to find a good balance between the online word & traditional world.
• Organise strategies for efficient uses of devices & make decisions about the purchase and proper disposal of such devices.
