Féile Bríde Annual Celtic Lecture 2023 - Awakening: Brigid: Woman, Life, Legacy

Spring is a time of awakening.  It is also a time of awakening to the significance of St. Brigid with the new National Holiday and preparations ongoing for the 1500th anniversary of her death.

Presenters:  Mario Corrigan and Rita Minehan

Mario Corrigan is Senior Executive Librarian with Kildare County Council. Mario has written and edited many books on the history of Co. Kildare and his hometown. He co-ordinated the Decade of Centenaries project in Kildare for the past number of years.

Rita Minehan CSB, is a member of the Solas Bhride Team and has been involved in the creation of a number of initiatives, including its pilgrimage programme.

Mario and Rita are both published authors with a key interest in St. Brigid. They both featured on RTE Nationwide programme on St. Brigid and have been interviewed for other documentaries on her life.  Both have given talks on St. Brigid and Kildare to both national and international audiences.
